NEW YORK (United Nations) - On Tuesday, Algeria introduced and submitted its draft resolution to the UN Security Council recommending that the General Assembly admit the State of Palestine as a member of the United Nations. This is the final stage before the draft resolution is voted on by the members of the Security Council.
This move follows tireless efforts by the Algerian diplomatic corps, in line with instructions from the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, to mobilize as much support as possible to enable the State of Palestine to obtain full UN membership.
