Sonelgaz discusses ways of expanding partnership with South Korean company BHI

ALGIERS - The Sonelgaz Group and the South Korean company ‘BHI’ have held discussions on ways to strengthen and expand the partnership between the two parties, a Group press release said on Thursday.

On Wednesday, the Chairman and CEO of Sonelgaz, Mourad Adjal, met the Managing Director of the Algerian-Korean joint venture ‘BHI-Algeria’, Beejay Duk, which specialises in the manufacture of recovery boilers, heat exchangers and accessories for power plants, at the Group's headquarters.


The meeting focused on the future of the partnership between the Algerian Group, represented by its subsidiary, Société algérienne des industries électriques et gazières (SAIEG), and the Korean company (BHI), represented by ‘BHI Algérie’, the same source added.


In this respect, Mr Adjal affirmed that Sonelgaz ‘will not renege on its commitments, and will remain attached to this partnership which will benefit both parties within the framework of the win-win principle, particularly through the expansion of the areas of partnership’.
For his part, Mr Duk stressed that he was ‘counting on the support of the Sonelgaz Group to strengthen the means of cooperation between the two parties and to promote the joint venture’, the press release concluded.
