ALGIERS - The National Copyright and Similar Rights Office (ONDA) has announced the launch of a new online service enabling creators and artists who are members of the Office to apply remotely for “social assistance”, the public body said in a press release.
The ONDA points out that this service is part of its “strategy to modernize the services provided to its members and to lighten the administrative burden...”.
Social assistance covers the contributor's healthcare costs, including transport (by ambulance or plane), biological and radiological tests , the provision of specialized equipment and hospitalization costs, up to a maximum of 100 thousand DZD ($746) per year.
This aid can cover other “exceptional” expenses and can be granted in the form of “direct” aid, not exceeding 200 thousand DZD ($1.4k) per year, says the ONDA, which calls on its members to access the platform via its official website: www.onda.dz.
