inDrive Introduces Motorcycle VTC Service in Algiers, Expanding Its Mobility Options

InDrive Motorcycle VTC Service in Algeria

inDrive, a global mobility and urban services platform, and the most popular VTC (Vehicle for Hire) service in the MENA region, has expanded its offerings by launching a motorcycle VTC service in Algiers. This move follows the successful introduction of its traditional VTC service in Algeria.

A New Era of Mobility in Algiers

The new service, currently available exclusively in Algiers, allows passengers to book rides with motorcyclists via the inDrive platform. This innovation offers a flexible and convenient transportation option, particularly beneficial in urban areas with heavy traffic.

A standout feature of the motorcycle VTC service is the ability for passengers to negotiate fares and other ride details directly with drivers. This approach provides users with greater control and transparency over their transportation experience.

Addressing Urban Challenges with Innovation

According to Wail Almamma, inDrive's representative in Algeria, the company is the only VTC provider in the country to offer motorcycle services. He highlighted that this initiative is designed to reduce traffic congestion and improve mobility access for users.

Motorcycles are particularly advantageous in cities with heavy traffic, as they can navigate through jams more easily than cars. Preliminary studies reveal that during peak hours, motorcycle rides can be up to 40% faster, thanks to their flexibility in choosing alternative routes.

Empowering Drivers and Enhancing Mobility

Wail also emphasized that inDrive takes no commission on rides during this initial phase of the project, allowing drivers to maximize their earnings.

After the remarkable success of its traditional VTC service, inDrive continues to expand transportation options in Algeria. Recognizing the increasing demand for diverse mobility solutions, the company decided to introduce motorcycle rides to its platform.

A Time-Saving Alternative for Urban Commuters

The new service aims to offer Algiers residents greater flexibility and efficiency in their daily commutes. With the addition of motorcycle rides, inDrive enhances its platform by providing a time-saving alternative for navigating congested urban areas.
