Focus on Local Materials

In his remarks, Minister Bellaribi emphasized that all building materials used for the AADL 3 housing project will be Algerian-made. He also highlighted that in 2024, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune made the significant decision to stop importing foreign building materials, prioritizing local production.

Promoting Sustainability in Construction

Regarding the preservation of wood resources, the minister noted the shift towards the use of PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) in construction. He pointed out that even foreign companies are now required to set up small workshops in Algeria to manufacture PVC materials, promoting sustainable building practices.

Optimizing Building Codes and Technology

A Step Forward in Algeria’s Housing Sector

The AADL 3 housing project, along with the focus on local materials and modern technology, marks a significant step forward in Algeria’s housing sector, aligning with the country’s broader goals for economic self-sufficiency and sustainability.
