
The National Office for Hajj and Umrah (OAB) has called on citizens interested in performing this year’s Hajj pilgrimage to complete their payments at Bank of Algeria branches across all governorates between February 2 and 28.
The OAB has set the Hajj cost at 840,000 DZD, including the travel ticket. Eligible citizens must have a certificate of success for the Hajj draw, a health book, and a health qualification certificate to proceed with the payment.
Requirements for Payment:
To finalize the process, pilgrims must present the following documents:
A biometric passport valid for at least six months from June 4, 2025.
The Hajj success certificate issued by local municipal authorities.
The health qualification certificate issued by the state medical committee.
Breakdown of the Cost:
According to the OAB statement:
670,000 DZD covers the cost of Hajj services.
170,000 DZD covers the travel ticket.
After making the payment, pilgrims will receive two separate receipts for each payment.
State to Bear Additional Costs:
President Abdelmadjid Tebboune confirmed during the latest cabinet meeting that the state will absorb any planned increases in Hajj costs, maintaining last season’s approved rates.
