State Secretary for Renewable Energies, Noureddine Yassa, met with CPECC International's Vice-President, He Hongsan, on Tuesday to discuss strengthening partnerships in renewable energy, green hydrogen, and advanced technology.
State Secretary to the Minister of Energy, responsible for renewable energies, Noureddine Yassa, hosted a meeting with He Hongsan, the executive vice-president of Chinese energy company CPECC International, at the ministry's headquarters. The meeting was attended by senior ministry officials.
According to a ministry statement, discussions focused on enhancing cooperation, exploring investment opportunities, and fostering partnerships between Algeria's energy sector and CPECC. They also deliberated on local industrialization across various stages of the renewable energy value chain, particularly in green hydrogen development and electricity production and transmission.
CPECC highlighted its interest in investing in Algeria's clean energy initiatives through public-private partnership (PPP) models. The company underlined the significance of such investments in boosting Algeria's economic growth and capacity in renewable energy development.
He Hongsan reiterated CPECC's commitment to sharing its expertise in executing energy projects that meet international standards. He also expressed eagerness to collaborate on green hydrogen production and transfer advanced technology to Algeria.
This meeting underscores Algeria's strategic focus on advancing renewable energy solutions and fostering international partnerships to strengthen its energy infrastructure and technological capabilities.
