Algerian dinar exchange rates against dollar and euro in official banking market

The Bank of Algeria has published official currency exchange rates for April 5–11, 2026, setting the benchmark for dinar trading against major foreign currencies. The US dollar ranges between 130.92 and 138.91 dinars, while the euro stands between 150.97 and 160.21 dinars, according to official data.

These rates apply to banking foreign exchange operations and serve as the reference within Algeria’s regulated currency market. They reflect the official valuation framework used by financial institutions, distinct from parallel market rates often observed informally.

Beyond the dollar and euro, other major currencies also show defined ranges. The British pound is set between 172.99 and 183.60 dinars, while the Swiss franc trades between 163.79 and 173.86 dinars. The Canadian dollar is listed between 94.07 and 99.83 dinars. In Asia, 100 Japanese yen are valued between 82.01 and 87.04 dinars, indicating relatively stable positioning against the Algerian currency.

European currencies outside the eurozone are also included in the weekly reference. The Danish krone ranges from 20.20 to 21.44 dinars, the Swedish krona from 13.78 to 14.63 dinars, and the Norwegian krone between 13.44 and 14.26 dinars. These rates are primarily used for trade and financial settlements involving northern European partners.

In the Gulf region, the Emirati dirham is set between 35.64 and 37.83 dinars, while the Saudi riyal ranges from 34.87 to 37.00 dinars. The Kuwaiti dinar remains among the highest-valued currencies, trading between 426.59 and 452.78 dinars during the same period.

Looking ahead, these official rates will continue to guide Algeria’s banking transactions and foreign exchange policy throughout the week, providing stability and transparency for importers, travelers, and financial institutions operating within the formal market.
