The maritime service will be operated by the shipping company Sidra Line, while Romeu y Cía will act as the general agent in Spain. The companies say the route will establish a regular rotation between the ports of Sagunto, Alicante, Oran, and Bejaia.
The vessel assigned to the route will be capable of transporting both containerized cargo and conventional freight. This flexibility is intended to accommodate a variety of goods and improve shipping efficiency for companies operating between Spain and Algeria.
Transit times between the ports are expected to be relatively short for Mediterranean shipping routes. The journey between Alicante and Oran is estimated to take approximately 20 hours.
For shipments departing from Sagunto to Oran, the transit time is expected to be about two days. Deliveries to the Algerian port of Bejaia will take longer, with an estimated seven days from Alicante and roughly eight days from Sagunto, depending on operational conditions at Algerian ports.
