BOKS has secured a concession for land in Algeria’s Ain Témouchent province to develop a factory for automotive components and spare parts, according to the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI).

The planned BOKS automotive parts plant would occupy about one hectare in the Tamzoura industrial zone. AAPI said its decentralized one-stop shop in Ain Témouchent granted the concession contract and announced the award on Tuesday, September 22.

The facility is planned to manufacture and assemble components for the automotive industry, with a focus on stamped and formed metal body parts. The products listed in the source include roof panels, door crossmembers, body floors, bumper crossmembers and trunk floors.

Planned Capacity and Jobs

AAPI projects an annual production capacity of three million units and approximately 107 direct jobs. Those figures describe the proposed operation; the agency’s announcement, as reported by Algérie Eco, did not provide a construction schedule or say that production has started.

BOKS aims to supply more components locally as Algeria’s automotive industry seeks domestic subcontractors. AAPI said manufacturers need suppliers capable of meeting their technical requirements. Local production could reduce reliance on imports for some of the parts covered by the project, though the report gave no estimate of potential savings or local-content levels.

Existing Agreement With Stellantis

The company had signed a subcontracting agreement with Stellantis in February 2026 to supply these kinds of parts to the Fiat vehicle factory in Algeria, according to the source. The land concession is a separate development in that supplier relationship.

AAPI described the Stellantis arrangement as part of efforts to develop a local supplier base and expand Algerian subcontracting in vehicle production. The report did not state an investment value, purchase volume under the agreement or expected date for commissioning the new plant.
